some one told me that BANYAN trees do not breathe like all other trees . is there any diference in their breathing??

There is no difference

1) During the day time , photosynthesis as well as respiration both are taking place.
2) During night time only respiration continues.
3) So, during the day all GREEN plants including the trees take in Oxygen as well as Carbon dioxide gases.
4) During night only O2 is taken in and CO2 is released.

Morphologically there are many differences including the one mentioned in the above answer.

no, only aquatic plants have to have diffrent breathing methods
