I love butter cookies, sugar cookies, and gingerbread men! I love to decorate them all and also cookie cutter them as well. I also like sour cream cookies. Those are pretty tasty, my mom used to make them.

The sugar cookies my mother made for us every Christmas. I miss her and the cookies. Nobody could and can make them the way she did.

These cookies my family makes called Melting Moments, they are a very plain dough with a huge drop of red or green cream cheese frosting in the center.

Corn Flake Candy
1 2/3 cup Corn Syrup
1 2/3 cup sugar
Boil until sugar is melted, remove from heat, then add
1 2/3 tablespoon vanilla
2 1/2 cup peanut butter
In a big pan that is coated with butter, put in 10 cups Corn Flakes.
Pour the above mixture over the Corn Flakes and stir with a large spoon that is coated with butter.
Stir until Corn Flakes are covered. Spoon out on wax paper and let cool.
The butter is a very important part of the process of this so as the mixture does NOT stick to everything that it touches. I even put the butter on my hands when handling the "Corn Flake Candy" while putting it on the wax paper so as it don't burn my hands.

Sugar Cookies
1 cup butter, unsalted
1 cup white sugar
2 eggs, lightly beaten
1 teaspoon vanilla
3 cups flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
In a bowl, cream the butter and sugar. Beat in the eggs and vanilla.

Roll out dough and cut into shapes with cookie cutters or a knife. Brush with milk and sprinkle with colored sugar. Bake on a sheet pan or a parchment lined sheet pan in a preheated 350 degree F oven for 10 to 15 minutes depending on the size of the cookie. Remove cookies to a rack to cool completely.
