my friend once told me that some guy was hitting on her and wanted he phone number. so she gave him a number that when you call it a recording says "the person that gave you this number did not want you to have their reall number so they gave you this one instead. sorry. better luck next time." or something like that

does anyone know this number? or phone numbers for similar things.

I don't know of any "not my real number "recording services, but you can get disposable phone numbers so the caller never knows your real one.

Why not just say, "How about you give me YOUR number instead?" Or just...... "I don't think so, sorry.".

Call 1-800-520-1067, it's the radio station here in Los Angeles, they know it. Or maybe go to KROQ.com.
