That's about your only option.

Best way I know of is to file a lien against any REAL property they might own, IE home or land. This can usually be done at the tax office in which the property is titled in. That’s what I had to do when I won a small claims case, unfortunately this does not always motivate the person to settle the amount immediately. The person I sued waited until they got ready to sell there house and found they were unable to because they could not get a clean title do to my lien. I see that you are in Iowa, if that Sate will allow you to garnish wages and you really need the money fast that might be your only way. My suit was in Texas which is a debtors State and does not allow garnishment of wages with the exception of a few items, debt from a law suit is not one of them.

Good luck.

Contact them and ask for it. Or attach any property they might have. You can bring them back to court where they have to answer questions regarding their job, assets and bank accounts if you don't already know. If they are not paying, you have no choice but to attach something, wages is most common.

Turn them upside down and shake the cash out of their pockets -- who cares? Take their wages! It will be sent directly to you from his employer.
