What is the right age to start dating?

The right age is going to be different for everyone. I think if you're mature enough to casually date, then around 17-19. For a serious relationship, around 20+.
I think teens are getting too serious too soon lately

I had three boys and I wouldn't let them date seriously until age 18. I also enforced the rule no girl under the age of 17. Girls need to wait until 17, and then it shouldn't be serious. I know this is not the average opinion, but my grandmother used to tell me,"Don't date anyone you wouldn't be willing to marry." Now I let my boys go to social events, but dating is much more serious than most people believe. Too many young people get into trouble too soon as a result of their not being mature enough to date. Did I have requests from my boys earlier - you bet I did! But that is what a parent is for - to watch out for their kids. They have all turned out great, they have mates who are great, and none of them dishonored me in any way during their dating days their senior year and after high school.

16 for fun with guys like fun places to go and a good friend to be with. Wait until at leas 18 for sex or anything like that. I think 20 is a good age to start dating seriously, with intent on marriage or finding a long term partner.

When you know that you are mature enough to handle the problems relationships come with. Everybody matures at different ages and there should be no hurry

Whenever you have a car and can afford to pay for your own dates.
That can be as early as 15 or 16 years old.

18 should be the age even though kids nowadays can barely reach 14 and they are already sexually active
