I am on a shoestring budget for my AK projects and am looking for cheap sources on magazines and other parts. Opinions about what I am doing or the type of gun are not asked an are not welcomed. I am looking for factual information not opinions.

I have heard horror stories on the magazine parts from centerfire and would not chance it.

Shoestring budget? Cheaperthandirt is great, I like them.
But I have one better for you.
Go to Centerfire Systems and look in the magazine section.
They have AK "mag bodies" for $1.99, "spring and followers" for $1.99 and floorplates for $0.99....that's three different part numbers you need to buy for a total of $4.97 for a complete mag.
They are used and will have some surface rust and grime on them from storage. Degrease them real good with a strong cleaner and use steel wool on rust and spray them with some Rustoleum in Camo colors.
You can also get a four pack of new mags with canvas pouch for $44.97.

I do very well at gun shows just remember that the price is the asking price not the sale price so make an offer that is about 10%-20% less thaen what they are asking and they may just sell to you at that price.
