Can someone please tell me how incest is not intentional?

someone just said in an answer that incest is not intentional, most people don't choose to have sex with a family member they are forced. How the f*ck could it happen by accident or being forced. If you choose to have sex with your brother or sister, its because you choose two. It doesn't happen by accident, and its certainly not forced. If its forced then its rape, not incest. Incest is willingly having sex with another family member. If the person is not of age, then its child molestion not incest. If two people willfully consent then how was it forced or how is it just an accident.

Incest can be rape and rape can be incest. It is not as black and white as you make it out to be. There are shades of gray. If a father forces his daughter to have sex it is rape and also is incest. Child molestation within a family is also incest.

Another way it could not be intentional is if they did not know that they were related. Lets say you have never met your father but he is still alive and has a family of his own and a child your age, you go to school together meet and fall in love. It is only after the fact that you find out that you are really brother and sister. That would be unintentional.

A father forcing himself on a daugher is still referred to as incest, but I agree it should be called rape. Or perhaps a new word is needed that combines the concept of incest and rape into one word.

Incest - sex between immediate family members (both over 18)
Child molestation - sex (whether willing or forced) between an adult and someone under 18

Your statement leaves no room for argument or speculation. You are entirely correct in your remarks. Incest as being "accidental" is like sticking a pistol in your mouth and pulling the trigger. Thats no "accident" either. I suspect its a half-as*ed excuse from some simpleton in trying to justify God knows what.
