how can i get round the problem every time I try I scare them away and they never speak to me again HELP!!!

Try listening to what the girl is saying, and take notice of her body language. If she is into you she will probably be leaning forward and keeping eye contact. If she isn't into you, she will probably be leaning away and wont keep eye contact. Try asking her about what interests her and make a connection. Then if she says something like, "Oh yeah, i love scary movies...etc." you can ask her to go to the new scary movie with you. make sure that you listen to what she is saying and what she ISN'T saying. At least you're trying. Don't give up, you'll get more confident with a little more time. Some guys are so afriad, they never get around to asking girls they like out. I congratulate you on plowing through the ackwardness and going for it. It will get easier. Don't worry about the girls that don't talk to you anymore and don't beat yourself up. Onward (to the next one). You'll develop your own style and learn what works for you and what doesn't.
