Where does it say in the bible about the rules of marraige and how many wives/concubines ect...

Because I am studying the Bible and I am shocked at the amount of stuff that is happening here... sisters getting raped, whores in gaza, whores here whores there and everywhere,.... sons sleeping with their father's concubines, ect... but I see nothing in the NT to fix this or to tell a person to marry one wife. Perhaps Christains are more learned than me>?

Pastors are to be husbands of one wife. It says so in I Timothy and in I thessolonians.

Kings are not allowed to have "many" wives. It says so in Leviticus.

David and Solomon obviously broke this law.

The bible is a true historical document of what occoured....not just something that your supposed to follow the actions of the stories.

Its important to remember that with 66 books and 40 authors that they often had different audiences they were writing to and very different perspectives.

And The Ot and NT are very different. Jesus is the completion of the law. Hence, why I can eat shrimp, cut my bear with corners, and wear mixed fibers. (All against levitical law).

If you read Acts it helps you know what you need to do as a Gentile christian.

In Timothy, Paul advises that a bishop or deacon should have only one wife. Other than that, there are no Biblical prohibitions against multiple wives. However, the Bible views wives as property rights and crimes like rape as actions against the property of the woman's father or husband. I would hope that our views have become more enlightened since then.

As you state there are many places in the Bible where it appears to have different opinions on this. All I can say is that when God allows it he allows it and when he doesn't he doesn't. There were prophets who were not punished for multiple wives or concubines (or were even encouraged to have them) and others who were punished for doing so (generally because God did not tell them to do so or specifically forbade it).

The bible is just straight forward with the actual happenings that happened during that certain period. What is mentioned in the bible does not mean that God approved all of it. The bible is not written for popularity purposes.
