For most blokes i know:
1) Personality / Sense of humour
2) Ease of nature - easy to get along with
3) confidence
4) ability to see the good in others
5) looks
Of course - this is generalisation - but ultimately - we all like people that make us feel good about ourselves -- so i guess people giving complements is also something we look out for.

At first appearance. Later on, personality becores foremost. But, hear me now, men may take a less than attractive girl with a great personality, but if you are fat, forget it. Men do not like fat girls.
