on local martial arts schools in Concord, Pleasant Hill and Walnut Creek. I've researched for a while, but most seem to be the classic mcdojo's. Any good, traditional school out there that's not out to just rip you off? I have some prior experience but I'm open to style, except judo (my back just won't handle grappling)..Thx

every place should be open for you to check out at first. i would check out tae kwon do as it is not as intrusive on your back. mainly using a lot of your legs.

Hello,

There's one in Bay Point that is really good. It's at the Ambrose Community Center... His name is Master Jose... it's Tae Kwon Doe.

Good luck in finding the right school!

And no grappling is involved.
