need a contact who will explain what is required to be able to start in drive then change into 3rd and it will then stay there till being moved to neutral

Your question isn't worded in a way I can understand. I know all about transmissions and I don't think it's possible to do what I think your asking.

the th400 is a 3 speed trans,drive is 3rd gear,you dont want to back up
