isn't that a lack of faith?

WRONG! We do as God instucts. Perhaps God works through the hands of doctors. We do not question God and His way.

Not at all. What can doctors do but preform surgery or prescribe a pill, or something like that? After that, it is still up to God! God can choose to heal someone miraculously or medically; just because there are no flashing lights or instantaneous healing doesn't mean that something is not a miracle! Of course, it is a great idea to pray about it before you go to the doctor, but going to the doctor is not a lack of faith! God bless!

No, it's not a lack of faith, but using common sense. We may rely on God for guidance, etc., but God expects us to grow and use our own intelligence. Additionall, many believe God has inspired men and given them the skills and we should utilize what is before us, thereby strengthening our earthly relationships and increasing our own skills. If you had no choices or options, then you can turn to God. Lastly, just because you may have faith, and know God can heal you, why would you not make every effort to help yourself? God often isn't up for helping those who won't help themselves. Medicine and God can work hand in hand.

Lol, God gave man the capacity to heal themselves. Going to the Doctor is a good thing. Expecting God to do everything for you is taking Him for granted. Best wishes.

Everyone says God works in mysterious ways - and sometimes He does.

But a lot of times He also works in very ordinary, not so spectacular ways - like giving a doctor the wisdom to properly diagnosis me and know how to best treat me.

I personally will continue to combine my prayers with doctors visits.

Nope. God work in many different ways, including through doctors.

There once was a god-fearing old man who lived near a river. One day, while watching the news, there was a report of possible flooding in the days to come and the man prayed to the Lord to save him.

A few days later the raining began and the police went door to door, evacuating the town by the bus load, but when the police came to the old man's door, he sent them away saying, "The Lord will save me."

A few days after that, the river broke through it's banks and flooded the town in three feet of water. The sherrif came by the old man's house in a boat to evacuate him, but he sent the sherrif away saying, "The Lord will save me."

A few days after that, the dam up river broke and sent a huge wall of water towards the town. The old man was forced to climb up onto the roof of his house. The national guard came in a helecopter to evacuate him, but he sent them away saying, "The Lord will save me."

Finally, the house collapsed. The old man drowned and went to Heaven. When he got there, he asked the God, "Lord, why didn't you save me?"

With a look of disgust, God looked at him and said, "Look I sent you a bus, a boat and a helecopter. What were you waiting for?!?"

By that logic God works through serial killers too. How do you explain away that one, Miss Know-It-All?

Because god doesn't charge you any money, and everybody loves to pay for things that they might otherwise get for free.

no, as GOD, HIMSELF works in mysterious ways and I do not care to question what I believe is HIS will.
