To be honest, not really. I enjoy reading opposing views and differing opinions, just because it's interesting to hear where other people stand on everything. But I'm nonreligious, and I'm still waiting to read something that will make me think, "Hmmm, that's actually a pretty good argument for Christianity" or "Hey, wow, that's not a bad argument for the existence of God." I disagree with what Christianity teaches and I haven't really read anything that has stuck out and made me feel differently, even just a little bit. I guess it's because I'm already very decided on where I stand, but still, I haven't done much rethinking. I'm totally open to the possibility though.

It has made me understand that a lot of people in this world, have apparently NEVER known a loving god in their life, as I did, back when I was a Christian.
I didn't realize how perverse Christianity really could be, until I came here.
But it does make me value the fact that my version of god was not the hatemonger so many seem to worship here.
In essence, it has hammered out any doubts that I ever had being an atheist. I can rest assured that there is no enlightenment to be found with the god of Abraham.

I haven't been looking for insight into religion because they all have self-imposed restrictions. Rather I have been seeking how Gods love can be applied outside of religion. And Yes, I have found much.

The only thing this site has done has just confirmed my earlier notion of why people are a different religion than my own.

I do.
Some positive, some not.
It certainly did make me rethink. Especially with Scientology... turns out it ISN'T a religion and is much more dangerous than more people realize.

am learning everyday I am here and really find some questions and answers inspiring and thought provoking yes in the fact that there were more here that didn't seem to respect the free will and rights of others than I first thought.

Hey mortgagegirl,
I have been very disappointed in the questions and answer on this site. It has been very surprising to me how absolutely rude and nasty both Christians and non Christan's are to each other. I have found the occasional enlightening answer but they have been few and far between.

I think I am better able to define my beliefs because of defending them. I also get to read how others defend it and that has given me a whole new set of arguments.
