No there are no numbers on the checks that are the same as on the debit card. The numbers on the checks are the banks routing number(left ones), account number(middle), then the check number. You can use your bank account number and and the banks routing number for your account and then when you recieve your debit card, you can add that at a later time. If you have any questions, there are ways on the ebay site to get help and someone will walk you thru it all with you.

The number on your debit card will be totally different, it will be more like a credit card number than anything.

The debit card number is completely different. It looks more like a credit card. I'd wait until you get the card. If you already got the checks the card shouldn't be far behind.

the numbers would be different you can call the debit card provider and have them give you the number they issued. Your card shouldn't take more than a couple of days to get to your house

I don't see why you can't use your checks. Its the same thing, one is just paper and one is plastic, money comes out of the same account nonetheless. Go to payment options and see if it offers you different payment methods. Like Credit...Debit...checking or saving account.
