my head? Recently my best friend (man) of 5+ years have started to try to have a differnt relationship. He professes his love for me all the time and is simply a great guy. BUT.. I am not sexually attracted to him. I am trying to make myself be affectionate towards him, but i dont feel any spark. He brought the sex subject up and i honestly could care less about sleeping with him. Yet i dont want to lose him as a friend. Anyone been in this situation before? it's really crazy

Uhmm well if you feel theres no spark between you guys then its likely that there never will....and dont put yourself out like that saying you dont mind sleeping with him...you should mind, i personally think that sex is for people who are in love and if thats not how you feel then it would be meaningless....tell him that you and him are better friends and not to get mad...just tell him and if he mentioned sex when you guys are only friends that shows what hes looking for.....

I had this same problem with my current boyfriend. We were good friends for so long and I just was not attracted to him , but in my heart I new we were suppose to be together. I waited it out for about three-four months before it didn't bother me anymore. Now I'm the happiest I've ever been with the greatest guy I've ever met. :) So, wait it out if you feel it's right and TELL him how you are feeling also.

tell him th truth and say our friendship shouldn't be based on sex... I bet u r hot and he is not..it is normal.u have the power of choice.. better yet be a friend and help him become attractive by working out learning about omen etc.. then watch him float away with another woman and still be his friend

ya i have had that happen a few times. that sucks, why can't guys just leave well enough alone! if you dont feel it, you dont feel it, dont try to force something that doesnt feel completely right to you. you need to be honest and straightforward and tell him that you love him very much, but you value your friendship more than he does obviously, because you dont want to muck it up by making things complicated. if he really loves you he'll respect your decision.

If there's no spark, there's no spark. You need to gently break it to him that you just don't feel the chemistry and that you'd rather keep his friendship than ruin it.
