I'm with you - that's pretty weird. It sort of reminds me of that movie, "Cruel Intentions". Oh, and for those who answered before me - what the heck is wrong with ur thinking?! It's not always all about blood. These two may not be related, but they came to know each other in the role of sister/brother. It's at the least sickening, if not officially incestual.

If the couple did not grow up as brother and sister, then there isn't any reason that they couldn't be the "right one" for each other. There is also no biological reason that they shouldn't marry. (Laws exist to prevent close blood relatives from marrying because of increased risk birth defects and other chromosomal abnormalities with offspring of closely related parents.)

It may be uncomfortable for you...but their falling in love is really no different than their parents falling in love. If their parents never married, then they wouldn't be step-anything and this wouldn't cause a moral dilemma. It isn't like if a blood brother and sister were to marry. Even if their parents divorce, they are still related unlike with step-siblings.

Maybe with time this will get more comfortable with the situation...because I'll agree it isn't mainstream.

Okay so the cousin knew that she would eventually become a step sister, or did they meet first then the parents met??? Well if its the first one, then yes there are plenty of fish in the sea why go for your step sister... but then again at least they are not blood releated... I would say that is really akward and strange and weird...ummmm yeah I dont' like it.

Well they aren't real kin so its not a big deal.
I have a close relation that his Dad was going to marry a woman with 3 kids and then his Dad's youngest son and the woman's oldest daughter went off and got married so they decided not to marry but live together instead.
Then after the kids had a child they spilit up .. so his Dad and the woman got married and ended up raising the child who was blood kin grandson of both of them.. and you wonder why I don't watch soap operas? :-)

No blood relation, so it's not per se too creepy, but I agree with the too close for comfort. Plus if anything should happen with those relationships in the future, it could cause problems in the family.

They're not related by blood, so it's not inbreeding. If the kids were dating before their parents got married, then they probably don't event hink of each other as sister and brother.

Yes, too close for comfort. Even though they aren't blood related, it's still really weird. They're still step brother and sister, so I don't think it's right that they're married!

You did say a stepbrother and stepsister right? His parent and her parent didn't adopt the other right? Legally, they can be married; they're not blood relatives.

There is no blood connection between step-siblings so I don't really see an issue with it. But that could just be me.

They are not of blood relations. They are only related by marriage. Everything is fine. There will be no issues of inbreeding.
