I have a mini dachshund dog and whenever he takes a bath he starts to whine and rolls on his side twitching like he is having spazims. I check the water temp and everything and everything is to a normal degree for a dog of his size and fur stature, but when I pick him out of the water when he starts this he stops, Is my dog spazing because he doesnt want a bath or is he just a special dog?
I have called the vets and they didnt know why he would do it either.

I would say he's just having a temper tantrum. An odd one, but none the less a temper tantrum. I would continue to bathe him as usual and ignore the strange behavior. Perhaps if he learns that he is still going to have a bath no matter what he does, the behavior will stop, so when bathing, don't take him out when he starts to twitch or act strangely. As long as he's not endangering himself or you, just act like all as well. It's worth a shot. If you're consistent with this several times maybe it will lead to success.

IF he doesn't like baths and he's figured out that you fuss over him, and possibly stop the bath if he whines, he may have just picked up a bad habit. You may want to make sure you are using a gentle shampoo, I personally like the DVM products. I work for a vet though so I have regular access to them. Short of him being sensitive, I would say he's figured out how to get some extra attention during his bath.

He is having a meltdown. This is a mental issue, you must get control over your dog and make sure you dog knows that you are going to protect him. Your dog is scared, try to make this time for him fun and relaxed, no yelling, no swatting. Just happy and helping, use shorter baths, not full baths to get him used to it. But be sure he trusts you before you start helping him get over the mental freeze.
