You can't prove him wrong. Fish and Game (Texas Parks and Wildlife Department here in Texas) have the authority to conduct warrantless searches throughout the state. They are the only law enforcement agency with that authority. However, they still must have probable cause for conducting a search like any other agency.

If they are looking for a bear or a trout that broke bail or parole, yes they can search your house. Thats a first for me, if they think that you are a poacher,or are hunting out of season, or fishing without a license, and you have evidence in your house, I would still think they need to get a warrant. Unles they actually witness you aiding a abetting a an illegal moose from Canada, and saw you and the moose entering your house, then they can act on the crime being committed in plain view. By don't know??

Who needs a warrant, they can do pretty any search anywhere any time they want. What's the constitution anyway or the 4th amend? Who would enforce it, the same people who violate it? Now the local authorities can even use left over military equipment. What happened to protect and serve?

You cant, I have worked for the State of IL for 11 years now. We can search just about anything we want at any time if we believe you have something to hide. We have never needed any warrant.
However the likelihood of that ever happening is slim.

Our 4th Amendment right says they can't. Plain and simple. Unless you give them permission, no one can enter your home, and unless someone has a warrant they can't either.
