I like him and I have become friendlier with him while his ex an dhim were broken up. She cheated on him and he knows. But he took her back. I would like to stay friends with him but really I want to be more. I don't know if I should wait for him, tell him how I feel or just forget him.

He got back with his ex. So, waiting for him would really and honestly be a waste of your time. Yes he may know she cheated on him and for you to wait until a "next time" may be a really long time. There are tons of fish in the sea so, yes you can be friends with him but I wouldn't wait for him. You will find someone out there that is fit for you. If you really like him and are friends with him, do you really want to just "forget him"? Is it really worth giving him up as a friend just because he went back to his ex?

Don't wait for him, life's too short. If they broke up once, they are bound to break up again. Who's to say you haven't found someone by then that you like even more?
