Please don't do this!!! I tattoo for a hobby, and i have a professional tattoo machine, not gun. Guns kill people, machines push ink. You could get a cheap one, about $50-$60 bucks on e-bay, but you need to know what you're doing. And don't use guitar strings if you're going to do it anyway, that's just screaming HIV! You should learn a little about tattooing first too. I've been learning for about 7-8 months, and I've only done a few tattoos. Do you know how deep the needle goes? what sizes to use? What kinds of ink causes skin reactions? Do you know anything about blood borne pathogens? It's a really big risk if you don't know what you're doing. If you just want one, go to a shop, because if you do it yourself then you'll be paying way more for it later to get it fixed, or to pay your new medical bills for HIV, AIDS, or a flesh eating disease. I hope i gave you something to think about.

I've heard of a place in LA that does it because I saw Chris Garver from Miami Ink make his own. I would do some research on how it's bulit and what it is made up of. Maybe you can go to your local tattoo shop and ask around about the epuipment. Good luck!

With the money it would take you to build one, I am sure you would be half way on our way to a professional tattoo. I would just save my money and get a good tattoo. I know that you can buy a tattoo gun as well.

do no longer attempt to tattoo your self in case you haven't any longer any experience. particularly in case you haven't any longer have been given a tattooing gun. it quite is not very well worth the soreness and the possibility of an infection. basically bypass to a parlor and get the tattoo from a professional. it quite is going to avert much hardship.

jail style tats you take an ink pin tip and you sharpen it up OK after that you make you a small motor maybe from an electric razor you glue and tape it all together and their you have a nice unsafe tattoo gun

build your own tattoo gun?? Um....that doesn't sound too safe. I would just go to a professional, they know what they're doing!!
