I'm an Arsenal fan. I have to say that anyone that has answered Jose just does not see beyond the last 3 years. The question was EVER??!!??
Bob Paisley?
Bill Shankly?
Brian Clough?
Martin O'Neill?
Alex Ferguson?
Herbert Chapman?
You can't really compare and answer in terms of a straight forward question...you have to qualify your question further my friend

It has to be i am afraid Sir Alex Ferguson as he is the longest running and most succesful manager in the world. He has won so many league titles, fa cups, League cups and even European cups. He is got to be one of the top managers of all time,
For me Mourinho cant be a top manager as he has not been in the game long enough and honestly i could win trophies with the team he has inherited and the money he has at his disposal. I would like to see him with a crap team to see how he gets on with them.

Did you know at Huddersfield in 1956 he signed a talented 15 year-old called Denis Law.Or that he won an FACup medal with Preston in 1941 in the Wartime Cup Final at Wembley?
However his record was not as good as Bob Paisley, making him the greatest manager if you insist on Shankly.
