they can already fly? why cant they have arms?

Lack of legs makes it very difficult to land or sleep...
Their wings are their arms.

A. Not all birds fly
B. Their "arms" are what evolved into their wings
C. Birds don't fly 24/7 they perch a lot and hop across the ground also. It takes a lot of energy to fly and most birds can't stay in constant flight forever....they still need their legs.

No, seriously, I would not be at all in favor of arming birds. 2nd Amendment or no 2nd Amendment!!

They have legs to land because if they were constantly flying they would run out of energy. Most birds need to land to eat and drink also... Besides how could they sleep flying? (=

Flying: Yeah, they've been flying for a while
Arms: Because then they wouldn't have wings.

They need their feet to land, after flight, they also use them to walk on the ground looking for worms & seeds, to sit down on thier eggs. That can't do this things with arms.

How would they stand up and walk around to find their food?What would they land on when ending a flight.???? That would be like asking why does an airplane have wheels(landing gear)?

Because bird are related to dinos and dinos have legs to walk.If they didn't walk they'd live on there backs :]
