If the blood is red, then most likely it is hemorroids- which are tiny inflamed sacs on the exterior of the anus, or you can have ruptured a vessel from pushing-- but to be SAFE- see a doctor- it could be more serious

Sounds like hemorrhoid, which is just a vein inside you anus that can keep opening up when hard stool scrapes by. It would heal up within hours, then break open next time However, if is isn't that it could be diverticulitis, which is weakening of the walls of the lower intestine. Worst-case scenario would be bowel cancer, but that would be very unlikely. You really have to see your doctor, but meanwhile, take a stool-softener (there's lots on the market) and see if it clears up. That would mean it is the hemorrhoid.

Likely not an ulcer. If it were an ulcer of some sort bleeding badly your stool would be black... not a bloody appearance, just black bowel movements. Most likely hemorrhoids. But I would get checked out for sure just in case there is something worse going on in that general area. You'll surely have to endure a finger up the bum, but its worth knowing.

in a lot of people, there is a hemorid, at the end of the butt an when the first part of the stool comes out, it causes it to bleed a little, because it is a small sore , an the stool is hard, when it first comes out. try an over the counter stool softner, an it may help. however if it continues, be sure u see ur dr. i hope this will help. god bless

There are a number of conditions that can cause blood in the stool. The simplest and most easily treated are hemorrhoids and anal fissures. Your best action to take would be to see your primary care provider for evaluation.

it could be a hemmorhoid.bright red bleeding means the blood is coming from a lower part of the colon, darker older looking blood is from up higher in the colon.if it continues see a doctor because something more serious could be happening like ulcerative colitis.

I have head of this before. One common cause of this is a very tiny anal fissure, or tear. Sometimes they are so small you can hardly see them but when the sphincter stretches during a movement, the delicate skin may tear, especially if it is really dry. These usually go away on their own. BUT, if you think it may be something else, see a doc!

If its bright red blood blood, it could be a rectal fissure, if its dark blood it can be old blood from the stomach. That and the fact you don't seem to go often as you say, you should see your MD and a Internal Med MD ASAP. Don't procrastinate.

It could be hemorrhoids and it could be far more serious. Get to the doctor and do not depend on us nonprofessionals on here. You may want to ask him about a good diet that includes bran and fiber.

Sometimes when you eat something rough, it scratches the inner lining causing it to bleed a little. If it persists after a day or two, contact your physician.
