Is it the sight of it that gets you? Or the fear of disease contained within the blood?
If I were you, I would watch lots of horror movies, and watch CSI even! Watch surgeries on TV. Just expose yourself to it as much as possible. I think you will eventually get used to it.
Are you getting into the medical field perhaps?

ever tried black pudding,
its a scottish dish which is made entirely from blood, you may be able to buy it at a butchers and that may help get over your fear.
the recipe is simple if you wanna make your own:
1 pint of pigs or ox blood ( including fat )
then you slowley boil it down until it becomes the consistancy of cake or pudding and you fry it and eat it

Watch medical soaps like Casualty. Last Saturday's would have been a good one. Whatever you do, don't become friends with medical personnel as their converstion can seriously make it worse. I am talking from experience here

well think about it its inside you and your just fine... yes blood carries HIV and other disease's but its just blood and as long as you don't have a cut on your hand (expically if you don't touch it) your fine.
