I don't believe in religion. I believe in God. The definition of religion is "a specific fundamental set of beliefs and practices generally agreed upon by a number of persons or sects"
Christianity is a way of life, not a religion.
Religion is the practices and set of beliefs that are followed.
God is who I believe in.
The strongest reason of why I believe in God is because of John 3 verse 16!

Thank you and God bless!

Look at the forums. What do you see?

All sorts of people trying very hard to disrupt religious discussion. I have never seen any other forum disrupted in this manner. So, some one must be threatened by intelligent people discussing religion. Now, who would have the most to lose by that? That's easy, Satan.

So the fact that there is such a concentrated effort to disrupt religion, lends to it's credibility of it's importance. Best wishes.

to try to maintain control over a universe that we have no control over. As long as people believe some ominpotent yet well intentioned god is running everything then they take comfort in accepting injustice, hardships and bad things such as the death of a loved one. ex "its ok because they are happy now and i will see them again" People realize they have no personal control but belief in a god means they can pray and influence that god and thus have some control over the situation. Its really not a bad idea except that it often keeps people from finding real solutions to problems they can solve and often religion becomes an arena for political and social views and can lead to hate and war etc....

I don't believe in a religion - to me a religion is the practice of certain beliefs based upon traditions created by man. I am spiritual and believe in God and his Son Jesus Christ, but don't necessarily subscribe to what man tells me my beliefs should be. My beliefs are based upon several things personal moralities - what I feel is right and wrong, personal responsibilities - that we should always care for and help others, and historical evidence.

I chose the one I did, because to me it ultimately was the only one that I can believe the true philosophy of which, will actually lead human kind to peace and self-knowledge, and mutual respect between people. In short, it was the one above others that taught the worth of kindness.

Also, I had a religious experience in which I felt I was being guided by a higher power toward one belief system.

(I'm Christian.)

The strongest reason to believe in the true faith is that Jesus saves and delivers you from the bondage of sin. Religion ... ? Just believe in Jesus and that's all the "religion" you'll need, forever and ever.

I don't believe in any religion. But I do believe in a relationship that you can have with God through his Son Jesus Christ.

All the old testament prophesies became fulfilled by Jesus.
