Butter a piece of bread
Put it in the frying pan
Lay on a nice piece of cheese
Put a piece of bread on top
Butter the top side of the last piece of bread
and grill away
The amount of time it takes to grill depends upon how brown you like your sandwich
You'll know it's done when the cheese kinda oozes out when you flatten it with the spatula that you've been using to flip it
For extra added flavor you can even put in a slice of lunchmeat.

Enjoy!

Put the cheese between the slices of bread. Heat 1 tablespoon of the butter in a skillet or grill and when melted add the sandwich. Gently press down with a spatula once or twice during the grilling. When one side is golden, add the remaining tablespoon of butter, turn the sandwich over, and brown.

Two slices of your choice of bread. You can butter one side of each but I have found mayo leaves the bread less greasy. Put the cheese on the side with no spread and put other slice of bread on top with spread side on the outside. Put sandwich on grill or frying pan and press down lightly. When the bread is the desired shade on the bottom turn over and brown the other side.

Frying pan on medium heat.
Make a cheese sandwich.
Butter the bread on outside of sandwich only.

When the pan is hot place sandwich in pan keep checking to see if it is toasted. When it is the desired amount of toast on one side, flip the sandwich with a turner. Cook to the same amount of toasting.

Remove from pan, eat whole or slice. Be careful not to burn yourself!!!

Take a frying pan & heat it on 4 or 5...
Take two thin slices of sourdough bread & butter one side of each slice. Place one slice butter side down in the frying pan, then place 2 slices of kraft american slices on the bread. Place second slice of bread on top, butter side out. When the bottom slice is browned to your liking, use a spatula to turn the entire sandwich over & brown the second side. Lift out & put on a plate. I slice them diagonally & serve with tomato soup!!!
This is my absolute favorite lunch &/or dinner.

I'm actually more of a pannini person (well I have the press so I have to use it LOL)

I use butter, then bread (usually country white) and then a variety of cheeses. We love munster, swiss and american. I sometimes add turkey or ham or both.... and then a little mustard for my hubby or ranch for me. I top off with another slice of bread, lots more butter on top. It's really GREAT!
