Get to know him. I think it's best to start out as friends, and then if there is something there, act on it. But friendship is a good starting point.

guys are so easy to talk to. if you are near him, just say something like, I've seen you around here before, do you go to school/work around here? Or, just say hi, and you can't believe how hot/cold it is today.
