Unfortunately some people see it as a way to get more services and $$$$ from the government! I wish people would grow up, get jobs, and quit ruining our youth!

Speak for yourself. I commit pretty much 24/7 with my kids. I rarely ever am not with them. Between play classes, PTA, sporting events, concerts, homework and playtime, I am exhausted. Not to mention, meals and bathing. But I wouldn't have it any other way. Also may I point out, many people have unexpected pregnancies. Many parents can't afford to stay home either, so they need a babysitter or daycare. Although I'm sure in most cases they would love to be home as much as possible.

I've been a SAHM since my first was born. I'll be here until the last is in school. I'll then try my best to annoy my children by being home for every school holiday, break, inservice, and sick day. I especially smile at the thought of torturing them with my presence as teenagers. I cannot wait to cramp their style! And bad grades in school will have me sitting beside them in class, all day long. I don't just love my kids on weeknights and weekends, I love them all the time. They'll have me haunting them until 18. At that point I'll flip through the family albums and wait for the day they have kids. I cannot wait to see how the next generation treats them!

I'm with you on this subject, My sister in law wants a baby so bad, but she doesn't even have the time to take care of one. She is always busy. It's wrong for people to think of themselves all the time

If the world didn't revolve around credit scores, mortgages, and various other expernses I am sure that parents would spend 24/7 with there children except for celebraties bacause that what they have nannies for.

Sad but true some have kids & are unable to care for them. I can't understand it though as my boy is my universe. My world revolves around him and nothing is too important to let him take a backseat to anything.

Because it's acceptable these days for both parents to work and leave the kids with day care all the time.
It is also no longer a stigma to be a single mother.
