treat with warm compresses....you can also pull the eyelash out of the infected area of you can see where the infection is (it looks like a pimple almost...you will see that it's filled with pus)

The ointment mentioned is good, but something you can do at home is take a plain old teabag - Lipton's or whatever, just not one of those fancy flavored kinds - rum very warm water over it then squeeze it out to where it's not dripping wet, then put it over yur eye. I got styes a lot as a kid, and this is what my grandmother did for me - it really helped, and felt SO good.

Go to Walgreens,CVS,Target or Walmart and get some stye ointment. Put ice over it. A warm compress also helps. Cold compresses help too.

Go to a local convenient store in your area and purchase in the pharmacy department an eye ointment called "stye". this ointment is for use for the temporary stinging/ irritation an eye stye can cause but it also gets rid of it.

Hope this helps

Teabag as a compress of sorts???? - not sure, but I'd recommend seeing your doctor, or an eye care professional about it

actually went to the doc for the first one I ever got the other day. he said it was very common here in Oklahoma city area, (dirty air??) Put hot wash cloth on it, turning cloth each time so as not to reinfect. get meds if it does not go away in three days. they can turn very bad. I looked like a freaking elephant before mine went away.........
