Well I think when a person goes into a restaurant they can have their order prepared the way they want it not what the waiter or the chef thinks the person should have, its not their call.
I prefer well done I think anything medium tastes like horrible, bleh! The tip is for the service provided not about the doneness of the meat.

I think maybe that's an indicator of how they prefer their meat cooked more so than how much of a tip they're likely to leave.

Probably a pretty crappy one since this person is obviously a moron. Who destroys a perfectly tasty steak (especially a filet) by cooking it well-done? That is simply horrific!!

I'd say if they order it well-done, and you bring it well-done, you'll get a larger tip than if they order well-done and you bring it medium.

These days, it's taking a risk if you don't get your meat cooked well.
