I would say pretty slim, this is what I did... I told them there was no way I could ever put anyone away (convict anyone guilty) without seeing what was done with my own eyes.... next thing I know I am off of jury duty.... good luck

Here are some of the ways that they let off. You might know the suspect for example. That'll get you out. As for school, that won't help at all. Depends on the age of your kids.Like if one is less than 6 weeks or about that age, then they might let you off.
But your best shot is knowing someone involved in the case. Other than that you are pretty much out of luck.

actually really good...if you are IN school then they are good. im a full time college student at OU and work part time to help pay for it. i wrote a letter showing my class schedule and work schedule(as in official schedules from school and work) and told them it would hurt my schoolwork and financial situation too much to take that much time out for jury duty they accepted it and took me off thelist for this year and i got out of jury duty. funny thing was my b/f got it the very next week!! but he did the same and ALSO got out of it!!

if u r a college student then u can get out.
if ur kids have a hardship or need 24-hour care, then u can get out.
if u know alot about the case know anyone in the case or had the same case against u then u can get out.
otherwise, u'll hafta serve.

I think 0 unless your kids are handicapped or it would cause you or them a hardship. Best chance is to make yourself an undesirable juror, if you know what I mean.

i might desire to consider Hyacinth in this one, yet not for an identical reason. the present Dalai Lama is wise, witty and has a brilliant humorousness. He may well be super to have around and might strengthen the discourse slightly.

If you show up on your assigned day they'll let you have a postponement, but they won't excuse you. Better just arrange something and do a postponement to a date that will be more convenient...

Don't worry if you do not show up ,they will come to pick you up and embarrass you with police officers and handcuffs.
