Okay.... well first of all if your dead set on a Tiffanys then you got to get it at Tiffanys, no other place sells them, unless you want to risk the Ebay curse. But then again, you can find many rings at Tiffanys under $5000. If your GF is dead set on that ring, then she must know she probably wont get a big diamond. Maybe you could mention to her that you could get her a bigger diamond from somewhere else... really your paying for the name nothing else. Good Luck, ps... i think your fiance would want any ring you give her, she really just wants to get married. If you were to open up a box with a big nice size diamond, she wouldnt' think twice about where you bought it from. You can always get her wedding band from tiffanys just not the engagment ring.

Sure she dreams of that little blue box, but its the ring that matters more. You can get a so much nicer ringer that is not a tiffanys for less money. You are only buying the name....which when it's on your finger doesn't matter. I don't know her but I'd think the day she gets proposed to it won't matter what box the ring is in. I mean of course I want a nice ring when I get engaged, but I love my boyfriend and I'd marry him no matter what hte ring looked like. And rather then blow all that money on a ring, I'd rather have that money for our future together.

so buy the box and get her a different ring..lol jk To tell you the truth you are going to pay a lot of money and just for the name not even because of the diamond.. I had a friend who only wanted a tiffany ring and now that she has it she wished she wouldnt of said that because then she would have gotten a bigger ring... I think ebay would have to be your best bet... sorry dude!

Tell her you can't afford it! Do NOT begin a serious relationship by going in debt up to your ears --- bad, bad, bad! You can look around for something within your price range, and when you give it to her, say something like, "you deserve so much more, and one day I'll give it to you!" She'll be in tears, realizing that it's not the worth of the RING that counts - it's the worth of the MAN!

Merry Christmas!

You should buy the diamond first. It's cheaper that way. Then take it to a jeweler for the bands..........

it is not how much the ring. is it is getting the ring to know that you love her that much is what counts.
