Mackinac Island in Michigan. Geneva Bay Resort in Wisoconsin. Cedar Point in Indiana.

My parents took a honeymoon in Brown County State Park, renting one of their cabins there. Unforunately, those get reserved pretty quickly, but you might try to see if they have any openings last minute from cancellations. It's gorgeous in the winter time if it snows. Also, the town of Nashville, IN, is close by, and it's really fun to visit all the shops (which are numerous), which have hand-made crafts and alot of homemade food around. (Homemade apple butter and fresh fried biscuits are heavenly.)

Elsewhere... No clue as far as Michigan goes. Indiana doesn't have much more...

my husband and I had the same problem and we live a small town. we drove about an hour away to a nearby city and did lots of thigns that we never have time to do. A museum that is always advertised but only open during the dya and a couple local resturats, the zoo. etc. We had a great and relaxing time
