Boyfriend of 2 and a half years broke up with me. Said he needed to get his life together. That I deserved to be with someone better. He cried and told me that he will always love me and that he wants to be friends. Said that when he is ready he wants to be with me. That its always been me and that he does picture a future with me, but he just cant be with me right now.

Any thoughts?

You don't break up with someone you've been with for over two years if you love them. Unless he has a REALLY good reason for needing to "get his life together", he's avoiding the true reason.

sounds like he got depressed and is highly confused. He wants to be with you but for some reason he feels that he is not good enough for you right now. Best thing to do is hang on loosely. Let him know how you feel about it and tell him that you're there for him if he needs a friend... but you need to mean it. When he gets out of his depression or whatever he's going through then more than likely he'll be back with you. Good luck

He is cheating. The crying was a nice touch for him though. Move on.

Ask him to explain why he can't be with you right now
