Its outrageous that they let them drive a full schedule in bush. There was a 1,000 point difference between 1st place and 5th place. That's just unbelievable. How do they expect new drivers to come in and get their game goin if you have Bush Whackers in there full time? Nascar doesn't know what they are missing with all these new drivers that could be coming in.

The Busch cars and the cup cars are very different, and I have noticed that it takes Cup drivers to get a field of 43. It is unfortunate for those full time Busch drivers like Paul Menard, David Green, Jon Wood, and Jason Keller to be overshadowed by Cup drivers who usually have better equipment. I was watching a Busch race late in the year from Miami and I noticed that 9 of the top 10 drivers were full time Nextel Cup drivers. I think the best solution would be to limit the number of races a Cup driver can run in Busch.

That's tough. You see you still want to sell tickets and such to the race. Big names draw sponsors and crowds (although still smaller). Not all Nextel guys do that great in Busch league.
Maybe there should be a rule that says after you finish in the top 5 twice in a year and are a Nextel cup driver, you run is over in Busch until you retire from Nextel.
Thoughts?

I don't think a full-time Nextel Cup driver should be able to run a full season of Busch Series. The Busch Series was always a way for the up-and-coming drivers to get noticed. Now the Nextel Cup guys are dominating the Busch Series.

I don't think they should be able to. Every time one Nextel Cup driver qualifies for a race, one Busch series team has to go home. I don't think it's fair for the guys that are trying to get the experience they need to get to Nextel Cup. This whole problem is mainly Nascar's fault. When they cut back on the amount of testing that the Nextel Cup teams could do, they decided to race more in the Busch series to use the race as a test. I wonder if Nascar knows what they are doing half of the time!

No,honestly I dont think it is fair to other drivers out there that are good but arent in the Nextel cup and are in Busch.I dont think that if u r in Nextel u can be in Busch too because if u r in nextel u r already a good driver and will dominate in Busch(kevin frickin Harvick)I think it should be 2 seperate races and all different and Nextel drivers shouldnt be allowed...it takes away from the people that want to get big one day to me.

No I do not think that Cup series drivers should be allowed to race full time in the Busch series. IMO, the Cup drivers were taking away points, money and experience from the Busch series drivers.
Only one full time Busch series driver got a win...Paul Menard! The Busch series is supposed to be for up-coming drivers, not full time Cup series drivers. I believe that if the Cup series drivers want to race in the Busch series then Nascar needs to make a limit as to how many races the Cup drivers can do.
The Cup drivers are making a mockery of the Busch series. Martin Truex Jr even said that Nascar needs to do something about all of the Cup drivers taking over.

I think that they should be allowed, but not on a full schedual. Limit it to maybe only 1/3 of the Busch races, if even that. I think it gives an unfair advantage to the drivers who drive in both series, because they get more practice time. Also, it kind of defeats the purpose of the Busch series. I mean, the Busch series is supposed to be below the Nextel cup, like the AAAs of NASCAR. (excuse the baseball analogy) How unfair would it be to the AAA baseball teams if you got the Yankees playing on one team. They need to make it fair to the Busch drivers so that they have an opportunity to shine.

Personally no they should not.
How ever with the sponsorships and all the Cup drivers will continue in the Busch series wuntil one of them are injured to the point he can not race anymore or is (forbid it ) killed.
The new talent is not able to get decent rides because of the cup drivers this unfair to the younger talent.
The cup driver should be allowed only 10 Busch races a year and if they want to run for the Busch championship they can not run for the cup and eliminated from the chase.

I personally don't think they should. They are taking money and points from the drivers that haven't been noticed yet. It's unfair to the Busch drivers because they get half the practice time as the Cup drivers. Hopefully this problem will be alleviated next season when Cup switches to the car of tomorrow, then the two types of cars won't be so similar.

For a long time I thought no, but have changed my mind. The series is set up to help the younger drivers to learn how to drive well enough to move up to the cup. What better way to get better than to race with the cup drivers. It helps the younger drivers as well as the cup drivers.
