This is the R & S category. If you don't want to read about such things, then go somewhere else. I'm not trying to convince YOU of anything. I'm asking a question to Christians.

As a kid I always just knew about God. I could like feel him there. My mother was into the new age movement and always talked about reincarnation and I knew even though I was very young that this was not the truth, not sure how.

But something happened that made me join a church and become an active christian.
I was 8 months pregnant and was at my parents. My father said for not be alarmed but he had a blood test that showed his white blood count to be very high. He said not to worry he was going to have it checked again in a few weeks. I heard a voice, in my head, say, "it's time!" Then I remembered back to my childhood when a friend's mother had died. I had prayed to God to let my mother live a long life and for my father to live until after I had my first child. I prayed this over and over again.I was like 8.
My dad died 4 months after my first baby was born. God had given me a gift!

I really like your watermark analogy, I would like to extrapolate on that. First, you are right, there is only faith as yet for evidence. But, as we know, there is an awful lot of it. Picture it covering the earth, like a network, or a web of belief. Now hold it up to the light, you will see the watermark. I truly believe this to be the incontrovertible evidence of God's power. I see, though, that I have not offered what you have requested. This is not empirical evidence that "one specific entity" has "made the universe, or created existence". This is definitely not something that "can't be explained by some other phenomenon". I definitely acknowledge that this might not be '"seen as a rational and agreeable explanation by the majority of intelligent humans" LOL! So, I agree with you...there is not empirical evidence...Yet! Thank you Free Thinking American!

Never was one. I was raised to believe it, then I realized it was a bunch of made up fairy tales. Now I'm where I am today.

isn't it interesting how believers are constantly trying to convince people to believe - that means it's a hard sell

The first time we were able to see our feet......that was a great day. We haven't seen them in YEARS, but we know they are there....just like God
