I've never been to such a ceremony, religious or not, but I imagine clothing or anything baby related that the parents don't already have would be good. Or maybe jewelry for the little girl to wear when she gets older.

I work in a giftshop. A baby-orientated gift such as a china 'My 1st mug', a money box, a birth certificate holder or a photoframe to put a picture of the ceremony in should all be acceptable.

You can't go wrong with a savings bond for her education. If her parents have not already set up a fund for her, this could get them started.
