I only have them for a short moment, but I don't take drugs and I am completely sober when I have them. Most of the time I see things differently than they actually are (i.e.: a cable that looks like its squirming). I don't know if this its abnormal or not, sicne they only appear shortly, then they're gone immediately.

this is not a hallucination. hallucinations are things that appear out of nowhere . there are two types one is auditory{hearing things} and visual {seeing things} see your GP first, and then he would probably refer you to an eye doctor

A true hallucination is something that is entirely not there, you are having distortions, which may be an eye problem. I know exactly what you're talking about, I've had them too, but I've never thought it was serious enough to merit an appointment with an optomologist.

Make sure you have sufficient minearl Ca. Mg, and Zn.
less K and Na and low energy
