What inspiring verses have you read that pulled your heart strings?.......?

The one i read was by an unknown author....here's a snippet..."If i could build a stairway to heaven out of my tears i would bring you back for just one more day"..... can you think of any inspiring verses you wont forget?......

This song got me through the early days after my Dad's death. I still cry everytime I hear it. (When I Look to the Sky/ Train)

It was a poem I got sent in an email and I will always remember it:

It's supposed to be a poem from an African child to white people.

When you are born you are pink, but I am black. When you grow up you are white but I am black. When you are sick you are yellow but I am black. When you are cold you go blue but I stay black. ooh and also this poem by an unknown soldier.....it's the most beautiful poem - I read it in my Grandad's funeral so I will forever remember it:

Songs often inspire me.
I love this verse because it is really reassuring and so meaningful and everyone should have someone in their life that would be willing to do this for them. It stuck in my head because when i heard it i thought god the people who wrote this song must really love the person it is intended for.
