got chicken breast marinating in chicken stock...they also have had olive oil and salt & pepper on them...I was considering puting them on my Foremen Grill tonight with some basil...Do you think that would be too many flavors? If so what should I do with them? thanks!

Basil on chicken always works. Just watch it carefully thouh, because fresh herbs burn easily. You could actually chop up the basil and sprinkle it over the chicken after it's been grilled, that way you get the fresh bright flavor & you keep the beautiful green color. Squeeze a little lemon juice over the top, as well. cheers :)

It's not too many flavors at all. It should taste good like that. I would add garlic too. Other ideas are to use rosemary instead of basil, and lemon juice with some zest also brightens the flavor of chicken.

I think it should be ok. Did your marinate them in Chicken Stock and than Olive Oil? Sounds like a lot of work.

The best thing to do with chicken is brine it for an hour in salt water! (I'm not making this up). About 1 liter of water with half a cup of salt... what this does is keep in jucier when it is cooked.

That said, pepper will clash with the basil -- I would not combine.
