Go to your local department of motor vehicles and fill out the lost title form and mail it in... you could also go to the DMV website and download the form and mail it in. There is usually a fee too. :o)

More info needed. State??? Lien (borrowed money from a bank or lending company) on the car???
Simply, no matter where or if there is a lien, go/check with the motor vehicle agency in your state, they will give you forms and the right information to get a duplicate title in your state. Some states you have to do it in person, others will do it by mail. If they do it by mail, they will send it to the address they have on record, so if you have moved, and did not change your address with the DMV, they may send it to your old address.

If the title is already in your name contact your local DMW. Should be just a form or two to fill out, a small fee, and the new title is yours.
