Dont let him know your social secruity number...Those tax places needs that info. I can say this much before me and my husband were married he claimed our son (But not me for special reasons) without me signing or seeing anything about my son while he was filing his taxes but i had given him the baby's SSN# and told him to claim him and he gave me the whole tax return. That is how it works in my home -i get all the money-
If he knows your social security number and you have lived with him for 6 or more months then yea he can claim you but you can make it not happen though by telling the tax place or threaten him that you will turn him in for claiming you.
I seen from your other question that you don;t work so you couldn't file income tax.
I wish you luck, i would check out all of this stuff before the w2's gets sent out not too long form now.

He can't claim you without you signing the forms...you are better off to claim as singles. If you son't make much money you can get better tax breaks. Look into it on the Revenue Canada website. If he does claim you without your permission he is breaking the law. check their website www.cra-arc.gc.ca

You should let him claim you on his taxes. The government could find out and charge you extra $$$$ for years past. If he Oops when he's at the tax office (mentioning you as his wife) then they'll make him claim you. That's what happened to me anyways.

hi. i wish issues get extra perfect for you quickly. regrettably, because you're common regulation, each and each and every of your returns influence the different because that they use both earning to calculate any credit that you're entitled to. there's a spousal quantity that receives decreased by the quantity of earnings that you made interior the 12 months. i visit't remember in case you reported someplace that you're a student? if you're and get a T2202a on your put up secondary training, in case you may't use all of it on your go back, you've the alternative of wearing it ahead to destiny years that do have taxable earnings or you may move it to him. it extremely is your decision. He won't be able to declare that with out you signing it over to him because it truly is going to be on your call. My suggestion may be to bypass in to H&R with all of your varieties and word what they say. also want an theory of your husband's cyber web earnings for the 12 months. both way, even with the truth that, your returns will be filed at the same time because you're common regulation. you won't be able to document as unmarried anymore.

IF YOU LIVE WITH YOUR COMMON LAW HUSBAND AND DON'T WORK, YES HE CAN CLAIM YOU, IF YOU DO WORK, YOU CAN CHOOSE TO CLAIM YOUR SELF, BUT HE WILL GET HEAD OF HOUSE HOLD. THE BEST BET FOR THE MOST MONEY IS TO LET YOUR COMMON LAW HUSBAND CLAIM YOU UNLESS YOU WILL GET BACK MORE FOR YOUR TAXES WITHOUT BEING ABLE TO CLAIM HEAD OF HOUSE, OR UNLESS IT'S MORE THEN WHAT HE WILL GIVE YOU. IF YOU LIVE IN HIS HOUSE FOR MORE THEN 6 MONTHS OUT OF THE YEAR, HE HAS LEGAL RIGHTS TO CLAIM YOU.

He can't claim you without you signing the tax form. If he signs your name you can file charges against him. File your own tax form and keep the money.

He cannot claim you unless you put your signature on it.
Personally, I wouldn't want to be on ANY one elses taxes. If they are behind on their taxes or are audited and found delinquent on anything, you too can pay the high price.
If he ever lied about something on his taxes, you would be held responsible as well, if your name s on it.
I say, don't do it unless you trust him without question.
