One of my guy friends is getting married on Saturday. I was not invited because i only had friend feelings for him and he shut me out a while ago. My brother-in-law is actually performing the ceremony and i wonder if it is ok to send a card with him? I havne;t talked to this man in over 2 years.

Why not, I had a best guy friend and ever since he got married I have been shut out. Not sure why but I still sent them a christmas card.

i don't see any harm in it. you'd think he would have gotten over his hurt feelings by now. he's getting married so it looks like he's moving on with his life. still, if he was all the way in love with you, he probably still feels something for you, whether he knows it or not. you can't just turn feelings like that off completely. if you do send a card, make sure it confirms your 'just friends' feelings you have for him, as well as your hopes that he and his bride will have a long and happy life together.

I wouldn't - simply because it just seems awkward. You haven't talked to him in a long time and you weren't invited. Just find out all the juice from your brother in law afterward.

Yes, sending a card is fine. Don't put money or a check in it though, just the card.

It certainly wouldn't hurt to send a nice card and congratulations. At least you know in your heart, you were being sincere.

It wouldn't hurt anything if you got him a card. That would show that you are thinking of him. I don't see anything wrong with it, it's not like you are showing up uninvited, you are just giving him a card.

I would say yes, that shows your the bigger person. He was being petty in not inviting you, so be the bigger person and say congratulations!

I wouldn't waste my time. He probably won't even waste his time writing you a thank you note card or anything.
