It is very hard to say as a general assumption to all men because obviously we all have our differences. It has to do with your skin and face, because i like girls with short hair, some with long hair, some with wavy, and some with straight.
Personally, I like a medium length hair, layered and angled. That is just what is my "perfect" look.

i like many colors but brown and dark hair fixed up though cant just be down all the time

Long long and soft and silky. Color does not matter. Blonde is fine grained and darker it is more coarse grained, so probably darker is good to play with, but I also love blond.

I have always love blonde. Soft and light not coarse and heavy. Seems to always turn my eye.
