Today is my 27th birthday and not one family member (excluding my husband &son) has told me happy birthday.
Don't you think that is kind of rude and mean?

Thanks everyone ...You all are too kind and sweet. It is now 5pm and none of my family has called or came around to tell me happy b-day or to even come and visit me and they are just 5 minutes away from me.

They think nothing of you! Your absolutley nothing to them! I would get rid of all of them and just leave the state and start a life all over for yourself

"Happy Birthday To You" Perhaps they have all forgotten. It seems to be after a certain age people do not find birthdays so important. Sad but true. Some people just do not take it so seriously, I happen to be from a family like this. My sisters seven of them, only one wishes me happy birthday every year. I do make a point to remember their birthday's. I can only control my own behavior. I don't allow it to bother me anymore. Simply, there is nothing you can do. And you cannot change their attitudes. Sorry, I am sure your feelings are hurt. Good luck and I hope you enjoy the rest of your birthday! God bless****

unless they're planning a surprise party, that's about the rudest thing a person could do!
its like how my sisters both got gigantic 13th birthday parties with all their friends I was only allowed to invite two friends to my family party and my mom didn't even get candles for me. i didn't get any presents, either, except for my cousin-best-friend Emma who gave me and necklace and $5

Happy Birthday! The 4th was mine and besides my children and husband, no called and told me happy birthday. But it cool because my real family lives with me (my children and husband).

That is rude! Your parents could have at least sent you a card or called! I know that no one could have forgotten your birthday! I know im guilty for forgetting when peoples birthdays are, but your parents could not have forgotten.

First of all...HAPPY BIRTHDAY. Secondly, you're grown babe! Parents aren't perfect .....one day might roll around and you forget your son's birthday. You NEVER know. Be a blessing to others despite their shortcomings.
