Anybody got any idea's on how to take my mind off it - it also doesn't help that my sister flew back tonight!

go to the gym or a football game or shoot some pool...go the bar...go for a meal....read....play on the internet...have mates over, go to the library, eat chocolate....get drunk...theres lots to do....just don't think about it, if you count the days they go slower....be patient, before you know it, you'll be home...

That sucks 18 days??? I would be going crazy. I suggest getting a part time job or better yet volunteering somewhere for less fortuante people to get your mind off of it. Keep your self busy by getting in the holiday spirit by helping out the less fortunate. You will get many blessings out of doing that!

send christmas greeting to all your friends via ecards on the internet and then set up a happy new year greeting to them all to (on yahoo it gives you a facility to do this at a later date -so it dosent go straight away) buy any gifts that you are gonna buy for people and wrap, sort out all your finances (if you have any) so you are all up todate and can relax over the festive season.
this should all take up a bit of time for you
apart from this sell something on ebay, play video games, hire some christmas dvds, and just relax
