My school doesnt have an open lunch. I was just wondering what your position was on the subject...should there be an open lunch? everyday i hear complaints on how gross our lunches are..btw...i go to republic county high school in belleville kansas..if that means anything to any of you...

Went to KSU so yeah I get where you are in the country and the school food. I think that students should be treated with respect and should be allowed to leave school during lunch...but in this mixed up crazy world it is probably for the best.
Why don't you bring your own? I never liked school food so I just threw together some stuff I liked. Plus what I brought was a lot healthier then the crude they serve in schools these days.
I can't wait until they come out with lunch reform in the US and get some descent recipes

I live in NJ & work in the kitchen making the
high school lunch, we have different stations w/ food
one w/ healthy snacks
one w/ deli food
one w/ burgers & cheese/ chicken steaks & chicken sandwiches (plus a main luch like pasta ect...)
the other serves pizza
the food is not bad & the students like it, but I think that they should change the food on the menu fr. wk. to wk. instead of having the same foods each wk.

Nutrition should be the main goal. This is possible and still have taste.
