The text is different from the lecture because it talks about correlation either positive or negative in one book. In the other it talks about the senses and how faith may go beyond our sensory experience. Human senses are adaptable and are able store data. The book the author speaks about the lives and faith that our senses contribute to faith. The skin is the largest organ in the body. The chapter is appealing because we know that the skin has a very important job it regulates the body's temperature much like a car's radiator. If it does not have enough fluid it could send the body into shock yet creating pain.
