Don't lick your lips. Use whatever brand of chapstick you want, and then at night before you go to bed, put a thick layer of vaseline or Lasinoh (it's used for cracked nipples during breastfeeding, you can find it in the baby aisle at Target) on your lips. This is the best combination that I've found. And try to drink more water - dry lips are a sign of dehydration.

Mary Kay has a great Satin Lips Set. The lip mask gently removes the dry skin and the lip balm helps heal the lips. I started using this when my lips were so raw that I was afraid to use anything because it hurt but this set has healed my lips!

Carmex. This is the best stuff ever! It may burn a bit when you first put it on, but that's because your lips are so dry and cracked. I can't live without the stuff!

Chapstick with slightly gloss over ideal- backside lip if u do no longer choose yucky moist lips. If u do no longer choose gloss then I recommend Babylips as some have slightly coloration, so it nevertheless seems such as you have lipgloss on, without the yuk sense (i understand what u recommend... Uggh)

Blistex. It contains medicated ointment. Also consider drinking more water. Insufficient water in your diet will result in dry lips.

I LOVE Burt's Bees.

It makes my lips soft all year long. Only drawback is that your lips get used to it and if you don't use it daily they dry out faster. Or so it seems to me.
